About Sinnett-Bicycles

Sinnett-Bicycles handmade in Suffolk England

The Team

Sinnett Bicycles is a man, wife & cat team, Mark, Vicky & Puddy Cat.

Mark designs and builds the bikes, Vicky takes care of the social media and admin, while Puddy supervises and acts as Quality Control.

We have insurance to build 20 frames per year. But to ensure the quality and attention to detail is where it needs to be, we make only 10 frames per year.

Mark Sinnett

Mark’s background is in Nuclear Engineering. He’s spent the bulk of his career working on the UK’s Nuclear Power Station fleet, culminating in him being Reactor Operator of Britain’s biggest nuclear reactor at Sizewell in Suffolk. His frames reflect the precision and quality mandated by the nuclear industry. He’s been riding bikes since before he can remember, riding Motocross, Trials, MTB, Road, Track, BMX, plus occasional crits and TT's. An award winning former restorer of classic bikes, including winning Retrobike Bike of The Year and multi-time Retrobike Bike of The Month wins. He moved into manufacturing his own bikes in 2022, initially building for himself, family and friends. He’s been hooked ever since.

Vicky Sinnett

Vicky is a dental nurse trainer and assessor. But her role in the company is to keep tubing in stock, keep the customers up to date, populate the social media and keep the QA department fed. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, music, swimming and playing with Puddy Cat.

Sinnett-Bicycles Puddy Cat

Puddy Cat

Puddy was the workshop Cat and QA controller. To be honest he struggled with his attention span and when he did get involved it was usually detrimental to the process.

He's now out of a job following our recent workshop move, not that he's particularly bothered. He maybe though, when I inform him that he's been replaced by a donkey named Rodney.

*****Please note, Mark is an engineer and not a bike fitter. We strongly recommend that you have either a professional bike fit or a very clear set of personal bike fit measurements you’d like to utilize*****
